The Accountant is responsible for safeguarding and accounting for the financial assets of Trinity United Methodist Church. The position performs or oversees all payroll-related duties, accounting, and financial reporting, including, among others, member contributions and online giving, bank account reconciliations, processing investment/endowment account transactions, journal recordings and entries, tax-related filings, preparation of financial reports for committees, and budget preparation. This position also performs or oversees appropriate documentation and maintenance of all personnel files, including new hire documents and onboarding of new employees.
